Intro

“Time is very similar to water. It is gradually accumulating from a tiny drop into a pool. Although it is a huge existence, it can’t be grasped. I used a purer material type in this space and tried to use both. The sense of quietness allows the passengers to feel everything from the details.”

Concealed design Located in the center of Qingdao, the location is close to the coast and is a leisure hotel transformed from a residential building. Tide and sputum refer to the phenomenon that seawater rises and falls during the day and night, respectively. The cockroaches that occur at night seem to have deeper and quieter power. The hotel is called “汐・时” and expects every traveller to come here to spend a comfortable night.

“汐・时” takes the time level of the tides as the main concept, using the black and white colorless color as the base color of the space, and the day and night image represented by the tide echoes the passengers’ evening and evening habits, according to the order in which passengers enter the space. The “Monday” reception area, the “Chaochao” room area and the “Guangchao” dining area each have different atmospheres. The “Monday” area includes entrances, reception halls, elevators, and second-floor guest rooms to guide passengers to rest at night. The image at the entrance is dominated by a rust plate that is corroded by sea salt, presenting a unique atmosphere of time and water. The textured marble mesh with the penetrating metal mesh forms the main visual structure of the interior, extending from the reception hall on the first floor to the elevator room and the guest room corridor.

We hope that time can be condensed in a more insidious form. The corridor of the guest room is presented in the form of a narrow corridor. The light penetrates thousands of hollow walls, and the shadow is sealed in the depth of the hole and walks in the corridor. It’s like doing a painstaking practice. The “Bengchao” area is located on the second and third floors. The resting place is the end of the day and the starting point for a new day. The large floor-to-ceiling glass introduces the moonlight and the morning sun into the room. The room continues the neutral minimalist gray tone with the marble, mixed with light white and The logs are softly woven with soft fibers and black oak to create a soft and comfortable atmosphere. The new journey starts from the cafe in the “Guangdong” field, and the atmosphere of the space presents a touch of relaxation. The bright white is the main tone, and the white marble and the light corrugated wallpaper of the water-patterned road are brought into the space, and the texture of the floor is stacked with the earth color, and the morning golden energy is illuminated by the golden light of the daylight. The atmosphere of each field in “汐·时” is in line with the travel activities of passengers, allowing people to enjoy a more comfortable journey as time flows and space changes. “
